I have been made fun of all my life for my ugly feet. I can't help it. I also can't believe I'm posting a picture of them for all the world to see. Please note I, on purpose, made it fuzzy and black and white. You really don't need to see EVERY detail of their hideousness. However, every spring, after a long winter's nap, my ugly feet come back to haunt me. I feel like I should offer some sort of explanation for them. And I can. I have a good one.
You see, I took classical ballet lessons for over 12 years. In those twelve years, my feet were put through a lot of rough stuff. Bunions, callouses, blisters, squished toes. Have you ever watched a ballerina? They look so graceful and beautiful, but did you happen to notice their shoes? Yeah, the toes of the shoes are HARD. And our toes are squished in that! And all the tape and lamb's wool in the world, won't cushion enough to keep feet from not being damaged. I'm amazed at the positions my feet were put in.
If you've ever done any type of ballet for any amount of time, you probably understand. Maybe you don't have ugly feet like I do. Maybe mine are just in my genetic makeup. I choose to blame 12 years of ballet.
